UPESSC UP PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 2,607 Post Graduate Teacher Vacancies (Advt. 06/2026), Subject-Wise Syllabus & Exam Date

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has published Advertisement No. 06/2026 inviting online applications for 2,607 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT / Pravakta) vacancies in Non-Government Aided Secondary Schools across Uttar Pradesh (2,329 Posts in Balak/Boys' Institutions and 278 Posts in Balika/Girls' Institutions). Under the newly notified UPESSC 2026 statutory rules, candidates must possess a Post-Graduate degree in the relevant subject along with an NCTE-recognized B.Ed. degree (Clause 7), are eligible between 21 and 62 years of age as on 01 July 2026 (Clause 6-Kha), and will be selected through a 400-mark merit system comprising a 360-mark OMR written test (30 GK + 90 Subject MCQs with -1 negative marking) scheduled on 15 & 16 December 2026 followed by a 40-mark interview.

Marking Scheme & Negative Marking (Clause 9-Ka): Each correct MCQ carries +3 Marks. For every wrong answer or multiple darkened circles on the OMR sheet, 1 Mark (-1 / 1/3rd penalty) is deducted.
Bilingual Paper & Language Rule (Clause 12.10): The question booklet is printed in both Hindi and English, except for language papers (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu) which are printed exclusively in their respective language.
