The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), 23 Allenganj, Prayagraj has published Advertisement No. 04/2026 inviting online applications for 1,936 Assistant Professor vacancies across 42 Post-Graduate disciplines in Non-Government Aided Co-Educational Colleges (1,564 Posts) and Women's Colleges (372 Posts) across Uttar Pradesh. Eligible candidates holding a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) along with UGC/CSIR NET, SLET/SET, or a UGC-compliant Ph.D. degree (up to 62 years of age as on 01 July 2026) can apply online via OTR from 08 September 2026 to 07 October 2026 (form corrections up to 11 October 2026). Part-II Concerned Post-Graduate Subject (90 Questions, 270 Marks): Master's / UGC-CSIR NET level objective questions from the candidate's opted discipline across 42 notified subjects (Hindi, Chemistry, English, Economics, Botany, Commerce, Sanskrit, Physics, Political Science, Geography, Zoology, Sociology, Psychology, Law, History, Mathematics, Military Science, Physical Education, Education, Home Science, Agriculture & Fine Arts).
Marking Scheme & Minus Marking (Clause 10-Ka): Every correct answer awards +3 Marks. For every wrong answer or multiple darkened circles on the OMR sheet, 1 Mark (-1 / 1/3rd negative marking) is deducted. Only Black Ballpoint Pen is permitted on the OMR sheet (Clause 10-Ka & 11.5).
Bilingual Question Booklet Rule (Clause 9.5): All questions are printed in both Hindi and English, except language subjects (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu) where questions are printed exclusively in that respective language.
